"Although Liza Abelson is known for her paintings, her primary medium these days is stained glass -- “inspired by nature and whimsy.”
Abelson, who grew up in Norwell, has been creating various forms of art -- including painting, pottery, jewelry, and stained glass -- since she graduated with a BA in fine arts from Brandeis University in 1992, where she focused on painting and sculpture.
“The last 10 years my primary focus has been stained glass and jewelry, and I support myself fulltime as a working artist running my business, Dasken Designs,” Abelson said.
She creates a variety of wall, window, and tabletop art glass for the home using copper foil technique, original designs, hand-cut American-made glass, and lead-free metals, and also unique jewelry."
